Description

The pasteurizer is used for the heat treatment of milk to kill microorganisms such as bacteria, like TB bacteria, and the phosphatase enzyme. The mortifying effect of bacteria is dependent on time and temperature. Limiting factors for the heat treatment are the adverse effects on appearance, taste, and nutritional value of the milk. The heat of the milk at the output of the pasteurizer is used to heat up the incoming milk: referred to as regeneration.
